Chrysler's engineers have been busy lately. Mark Allen, head of the Jeep design studio, has introduced a total of eight new concept vehicles at this year's Easter Jeep Safari. Each one has been worked up by the company's off-road engineering team, and while most are nothing more than pure fantasy, at least a few can be crafted out of parts available from the Mopar go-fast catalog. Even better, all have the off road guts to go anywhere you please.

It’s not supposed to be shown until Wednesday, but the good folks at JP Magazine took some spy photos of the NuKiser for an early preview.

The Nukiser looks to be an update of the M715 truck Kaiser built for the military from 1967 to 1969 as a replacement for the Dodge M37. It appears to be built on the J8 platform but adds humongous 37- or 38-inch B.F. Goodrich tires, ...

DETROIT -- Chrysler Group says it has solved the problem that caused a shortage of hard tops for Jeep Wranglers.

Michael Manley, CEO of the Jeep brand, said there will be two production increases of the hard tops -- one in early April and the second in late April.

“We’ve been working to increase hard-top capacity,” Manley said at a Jeep event yesterday. “Wrangler demand is tremendous.”

While the start date for the Jeep Grand Cherokee which is to be its first home is still reportedly months away, the Pentastar V6 has entered production in the Trenton (Michigan) Engine Plant. Sources say the plant has been operating slowly for quality reasons, producing mere dozens of the engines each week and sending them to intensive testing areas. ...
